The conference takes place at Tallinn University, but how do you get here?

Tallinn University is located at Narva mnt 27.

The easiest way to plan your transport route is either via Google Maps or www.peatus.ee. From the airport, buses number 2 and 15 will take you to the city center. Note: map applications also include 1XX buses which can't be used for inner-city travel.

You can pay for your tickets in public transport by card/phone (NFC). This can be done at the small orange terminal at the front of the vehicle, where you can purchase an hourly ticket using a contactless bank card (Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, or Visa Electron) for yourself and up to five companions. You can also buy an hourly QR ticket from this website. No need to trouble the driver!

The university itself is accessible from both sides: from Uus-Sadama street on the seaside and from Narva street. The main entrance is on Narva street through the “Astra” building. The Astra building is a new glass building and it has many flags in front of it.

Tallinn:

Tallinn is a small and very compact capital city of Estonia. The airport is approx. 15 minutes from the city center by bus and the ferry station is even closer, around 10 minutes on foot!

We have UNESCO-listed Old Town where you can easily time travel back to medieval times and forget your present worries. On the other hand, we have buzzling hipster area right next to the Old Town - Telliskivi - where you can grab a nice coffee and shop around Estonian designer shops and have some nice local handicraft beer in the evenings. Inbetween Old Town and Telliskivi, there’s also a market there called Balti Jaam with lots of food options on the 1st floor and on the 2nd floor you can find vintage shops, etc.

Right next to the university is Kadriorg - a big city garden established in the 18th century which was inspired by Versailles. There are two art museums there quite next to each other: Kadriorg Palace and KUMU. The first one is mainly focused on the 18-19th century art and the second one is more modern and has a wider grasp. When in the park, keep an eye out for our President who also has his residence there! Many foreign embassies are also located by the park in the beautiful old wooden buildings.
